Conques St. Faith - Visions of Heaven and of Hell

To Christ's right is the depiction of paradise. Closest to the heavenly clouds we recognize Mary and St. Peter (holding the key), and behind them a procession of abbots and benefactors to the abbey, the foremost of whom is Charlemagne. To Christ's left, as the inscription above them reads, is the cohort of depraved men. These are kept at bay by two armed angels and subject to all manner of demonic tortures.
