Financial Aid

Obtaining a quality undergraduate education is one of the most important investments that students and their families will make. For that reason, Illinois Wesleyan University will work very closely with you to pursue all avenues of financing your education.

Every domestic student accepted to IWU may apply for need-based financial assistance and will receive, at no charge, a financial aid proposal. Students who do not qualify for need-based financial aid may still receive assistance through loan, campus employment, or scholarship.

International students may be awarded merit-based international scholarships. However, they are not eligible to apply for need-based financial aid.

To apply for need-based financial aid, students need to complete two forms:

  1. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (IWU's FAFSA code number: 001696)
  2. Either the Illinois Wesleyan University New Student Financial Aid Application* or the CSS PROFILE (IWU's CSS code number: 1320)
