Founded in 1850, Illinois Wesleyan is a highly selective liberal arts university with an enrollment of 2,100. Illinois Wesleyan's distinctive curriculum combines the liberal arts with professional programs the fine arts and nursing.  The University offers 47 major areas of study, plus eight pre-professional programs in medicine, law, dentistry, engineering, veterinary science, forestry and environmental management, physical and occupational therapies.
