Vezelay tympanum - the Hearers of the Good News

On the left, the Good News is spread to ordinary people, in this case to farmers. On the right, apostolic efforts reach the monstrous races. We see here a pygmy, who must climb on horseback with the aid of a ladder, and men with huge ears, in which they can wrap themselves as with blankets. One of these is covered with feathers.
