Autun - St. Andrew's gate
St. Andrew's Gate is one of two remaining gates from the Gallo-roman fortifications; the wall running around Augustodunum was pierced with four gates and protected by 54 semi-circular towers. The double arcade in the center was for chariot traffic, while pedestrians used the smaller entry ways on the sides.
