Mission Statement

The Undergraduate Economic Review, produced by students of Illinois Wesleyan University's Economics Department, is committed to supporting and encouraging high quality student research in all areas of economics by publishing the best undergraduate papers. Articles are solicited from undergraduates across the globe, and reviewed solely by student editors. Our unique editorial structure takes advantage of the latest online technology to promptly review and post accepted articles.

Our Affiliation to IWU

This journal has been created by students of Illinois Wesleyan University's Economics Department.

Illinois Wesleyan University is an independent, co-educational, undergraduate university founded in 1850.

  • IWU is organized around a College of Liberal Arts, a College of Fine Arts, and a School of Nursing.
  • The College of Liberal Arts offers 39 majors and three pre-professional programs: Medical Technology, Pre-dental, and Pre-engineering.
  • The College of Fine Arts includes the schools of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts, and an interdisciplinary major in Music Theatre.
  • The School of Nursing offers a 4-year program and confers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
