The vices and virtues are grouped in opposing pairs, such that each Virtue stands on the head of its corresponding Vice. At the top of the arc, as if at the zenith of a scale of values, are Humility and Generosity. Beginning at the lower right, Concordia is in conflict with Discordia, Fides (Faith) with Idolatria, and at the peak, Largitia (Generosity) wins over Avaricia. On the left, we note in like fashion Paciencia (sic) crushing Ira (Wrath), Castitas (Chastity) in strife with Luxuria, and again at the peak of the arc, the victory of Humilitas over Superbia (Pride).
